    Restoring Forests, Reconnecting Landscapes

    The most degraded lands

We work in one of Costa Rica’s most deforested and degraded landscapes, within the critical Amistosa Biological Corridor. Guided by science and local knowledge, we are restoring native forests and biodiversity on highly degraded lands with the most limited agricultural potential. We have already protected and restored our first 100 hectares. With your support, we aim to acquire and restore another 300 hectares, bringing native species back to this once-forested mountain landscape.

Growing Native Forests, Including Rare Species

Fewer than 1% of native tree species across the tropics are typically included in reforestation plantings, leaving many native, rare and threatened species overlooked. Working with local communities and partner organizations, we are bringing these species back into restoration through our native tree nursery. We grow native trees, including rare and threatened species from our region, for restoration projects and donate seedlings to local communities to help restore and protect biodiversity.
